Quest is created with the new BC curriculum in mind. The seven comprehensive levels are tailor-made for students of different levels in elementary school. Students who are enrolled in this program will read novels that have been selected by veteran BC teachers, and short stories that are created to build interest in various scientific and social issues. With its intensive twice or thrice weekly program, it is geared towards accelerating students’ English skills, and meeting and exceeding BC learning outcomes. With dedicated teachers at JL, your kids will build genuine passion for gaining new knowledge. Program highlights Daily journals and various writings are individually checked and monitored to allow and guarantee your child’s rapid learning. An optional vocab program will fast-track your child’s reading and writing level. At the end of each month, your child’s development will be analyzed to seek more efficient learning.

Let’s face it. Everybody can use a lesson or two in writing. The help of experienced teachers and JL’s meticulous curriculum will maximize your kids’ writing skills. We focus on practical and applicable writing lessons and techniques, all geared towards producing young writers who can communicate both creatively and formally as needed in academic environments and beyond. This course takes students on a tour of academic and creative English writing, moving from how to avoid common errors, to paragraph structure, beginner and advanced essay composition, to poetry and short fiction. This course offers the fundamentals and tips on tricks for the ambitious highschool writer.

The world is changing. More than ever before, having proficient math skills is a prerequisite for many walks of life. With experienced teachers and JL’s sound curriculum, which closely follows the BC government’s target learning outcomes, JL ensures that your kids master the skills that are necessary for building solid logic and future success. All levels of math help are provided, from Gr. 1 to first year University.

While most students are taught basic study skills, education budget cuts and large classes mean that many teachers, despite the best intentions, are barely able to get through the curriculum, let alone teaching skills that are necessary for higher learning.
